Urkizu is a neighbourhood in Tolosa, in Gipuzkoa. It is a neighbourhood made up of farmhouses scattered throughout the mountains. The road that goes up to the main centre is 6 kilometres of curves and turns.

We passed the Covid-19 pandemic confinement at kilometre 4. We arrived invited by friends at the end of the third week of obligaroty confinement. Before that we had been at the bottom of the valley, where Tolosa is located.

This photographic work was born as a present, in book format, for the friends who welcomed us to their land and it became my entertainment-refuge during weeks of confinement, with the luxury of being able to observe and participate in the nature that surrounded our house on wheels.

Most of the photographs were taken on the rubbish tipping walks a mile away from where we were.

This is my visual diary of what has been a gift, ascending from earth to heaven.
